Stefan Fabian
Owner, Chief Strategy Officer, and Executive Creative Director

Since 2004, Stefan Fabian has been leading FabianBrandDirection, where he develops comprehensive brand strategies and corporate design systems for major multinational and mid-sized companies. As Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Creative Director, he brings a holistic approach to brand development, ensuring long-term success for his clients through strategic vision and creative excellence.

Stefan holds a Master’s degree in Communication Design from the University of Würzburg. Early in his career, he worked as an Art Director at prominent agencies including McCann Erickson (Frankfurt), Springer & Jacoby (Hamburg), JWT (Singapore), and TBWA (Hamburg), among others. He later joined Landor Associates in Hamburg as Senior Design Director, where he oversaw major brand accounts such as dm-Drogeriemarkt, Sandoz AG, Merck AG, Siemens, Bosch Power Tools, Salamander, MTU Friedrichshafen, and UNIQA Versicherungen.

In addition to his commercial work, Stefan has held academic appointments, including lecturing at Miami Ad School (Hamburg) and Design Factory (Hamburg), where he shared his expertise in strategic branding and design.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stefan is the Founder and President of the FabianStiftung – Education & Health for Children Worldwide, a foundation he established in 2004 in partnership with PLAN International Germany. The foundation focuses on improving education and healthcare for children globally.

In 2018, he co-founded the elbDORFaktiv e.V. – Society for Arts and Culture in Wendland, where he serves as President. This organization promotes cultural initiatives and fosters community engagement in the arts.

Stefan is also a co-founder of Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie Wendland, where he leads internal and external communications. The Economy for the Common Good advocates for an ethical economic model that prioritizes human and environmental well-being.

Personal Interests

Stefan is proud father of three adult children. He enjoys playing the guitar, humorously claiming to be "the best of the worst."

He has a passion for nature, particularly an admiration for moles, and enjoys crafting benches from reclaimed wood.
